Full-Time Surgical Oncologist

Hospital Overview:

Join the region’s largest full-service medical center—a 145-bed acute care hospital serving a broad area between Boise, ID, and Spokane, WA. With a Level III Trauma Center, 100+ board-certified physicians, and comprehensive specialty coverage, this hospital provides advanced, compassionate care to patients and families throughout the region.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Monday–Friday
  • 36 hours/week patient-facing
  • 4 hours/week administrative time
• Clinical Mix:
  • ~2 days clinic
  • 2–3 days OR
  • ~60 patients/week in clinic
• Call:
  • 1:4 rotation
  • 10 days/month included in contract
  • Additional compensation for call beyond 10 days/month
  • Clinic call: telephone only
  • No in-house call requirement
• Procedures:
  • Tumor removals
  • Biopsies
  • Diagnostic procedures
  • Colorectal
  • Melanoma
  • Other complex oncologic surgeries
• Technology & Facilities:
  • Da Vinci Xi robot
  • 7 fully equipped ORs
  • Strong subspecialty and multidisciplinary team support

Qualifications:

• Board Certified / Board Eligible in General Surgery
• Ability to obtain Idaho medical license and DEA with full prescriptive authority
• Fellowship training in Complex General Surgical Oncology (ACGME-accredited) highly preferred
