The Opportunity:

UCF’s College of Community Innovation and Education Marriage and Family Research Institute (MFRI) is dedicated to providing the highest level of quality service to individuals seeking support, with a focus on counseling, psychology, social work, and related fields. Our team, composed of professionals with academic expertise in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, and more, operates across various departments, including Administration, Family Services, Operations, Recruitment, Relationship Educators, and Childcare teams.

The MFRI is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Program Recruitment Specialist for our UCF MFRI Project Harmony, based in Orlando, FL. As the Program Recruitment Specialist, you will be responsible for recruiting participants through referrals, partners, and community engagement to meet enrollment goals. This includes conducting recruitment activities, presentations, and follow-up calls, often during evenings and weekends. You'll also engage with social media-generated prospects, assist in monitoring social media, and maintain connections with community organizations.

This is a Contract and Grant (C&G) funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.

Responsibilities:

  • Seek out and recruit potential participants from referrals, partners, and the community to explore their interest and eligibility for Project Harmony 2.0, ensuring enrollment benchmarks are met.
  • Conduct recruitment activities and presentations in various locations, including partner waiting rooms, job fairs, community events, and other relevant venues.
  • Represent and promote services provided by Project Harmony 2.0 at community events, online platforms, and conferences.
  • Conduct follow-up phone calls with potential participants to arrange intake appointments and confirmation calls.
  • Availability during evenings and weekends is desired to accommodate the scheduling needs of potential participants.
  • Engage in biweekly individual supervision meetings with the Recruitment Specialist Lead, participate in daily team check-ins, attend biweekly team meetings, and join monthly all-staff meetings to review enrollment benchmarks, discuss challenges, and share successes.
  • Attend training as needed.
  • Engage prospective participants that have been generated through social media activities.
  • Tasks may extend to assisting MFRI recruitment team in monitoring trends and engaging in video editing for social media posts.
  • Cultivate and sustain connections with community organizations and project partners.
  • Maintain up to date list of recruited participants and potential partners. Provide quantitative data on recruitment process to the Recruitment Specialist Lead.
  • Responsible for strict adherence to organizational, local, state, and federal confidentiality rules concerning students, employees, and study subjects.
  • Additionally, ensure compliance with contractual obligations to the funding source and uphold quality standards and practices to enhance the efficiency and quality of work performance and deliverables. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prefer candidate with the ability to communicate in both English and Spanish in order to work effectively with customers and team members.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word Doc., Excel, Power Point…)
  • Sales experience preferred.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends based on programmatic need.
