A Snapshot of your day

Your role involves ensuring the stability and reliability of the plant's digital infrastructure by monitoring servers, network systems, and user accounts, while addressing technical issues, managing backups, and maintaining hardware. You’ll collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless data flow, uphold cybersecurity compliance, and support staff with IT-related needs, concluding each day by reviewing system health, generating reports, and planning future maintenance.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Administer and maintain network infrastructure, servers, and communication systems to ensure reliable plant connectivity.
• Manage Active Directory, user accounts, permissions, and data access to uphold IT security and integrity.
• Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware, peripherals, and systems for plant personnel while ensuring proper asset tracking.
• Oversee backups, data restoration, antivirus monitoring, patch management, and ensure compliance with Siemens Energy IT security policies.
• Provide first- and second-level IT support, resolve issues promptly, and escalate complex cases to Siemens Energy regional IT when needed.
• Participate in IT audits, cybersecurity assessments, and maintain documentation of incidents, changes, and procedures in line with guidelines.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in IT administration within an industrial or corporate environment.
• Proficiency in Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft Office 365, and virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN architecture, routing/switching, backup tools, IT asset management, and basic cybersecurity practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to handle time-critical situations effectively.
• Strong communication skills in English (Arabic or Kurdish is a plus) and a team-oriented, customer-first mindset focused on safety and reliability.

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
