About the role

As Biogen portfolio continues to evolve including Rare Disease and beyond, this role leads and drives all Customer Excellence & Operations (CE&O) related Patient Finding capabilities and activities, in close collaboration with key cross functional stakeholders:

  • You lead and align Biogen’s Patient Finding operating model with main focus in Rare Disease. Mapping patient journey to identify and activate new innovative solutions with external stakeholders to drive initiatives leading to identifying patients for (potentially missed) diagnosis and treatment start.
  • You co-lead advanced analytical approaches (including AI tools and techniques) to enable patient finding via partnership with prioritized data sources.
  • Driving analysis to ensure KPIs definition and tracking & ROI fully demonstrated
  • Coordinate rare disease patient identification initiatives in collaboration with international affiliates for global scaling.
  • Proactively support the gathering of best practices from across markets to provide central global guidance on approaches to patient finding and engagement
  • Co-lead and drive key projects across the omni-channel environment, delivering programs with peripheral, community, and/or multi-disciplinary customers that enables disease awareness, genetic testing, and referral building

What you’ll do

  • Support the implementation of Patient Finding strategy and operation plan through project management
  • Identify and build core patient finding capabilities
  • You lead advanced analytical approaches (including AI tools and techniques) to enable patient finding via partnership with prioritized data sources.
  • Co-Lead and drive patient finding activities in close partnership with key stakeholders -internal & external-, ensuring implementation and effectively delivered
  • Partner internally and externally to identify and prioritize opportunities and pain points with external organizations/parties for implementable initiatives covering pre and peri diagnosis
  • Leading innovation and improvement including full engagement in external capabilities, new, market developments & trends

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Required -MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum experience requirements necessary to perform the job.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Preferred experience within rare disease and patient journey mapping / patient finding or related initiatives.
  • Strong analytics experience and mindset, able to clearly articulate data outputs and recommendations.
  • Consultant experience within driving patient pathway or patient finding efforts.
  • Experience at both affiliate and above market levels.
  • Collaborates very well internally as well as externally.
  • Effectively uses formal and informal network to define new initiatives based on industry best practice.
  • Fluent in English and additional languages a plus.
