A Brief Overview

The Accounting Analyst is mainly responsible to support the treasury operations and the month-end expense cycle. The role prepares the monthly bank reconciliation reports and other management reports to support the team in month-end closing.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the treasury operations and co-ordinate with Global Treasury functions which including but not limited to: handle the payment processing, ensuring timely and accurate execution of payments; prepare the monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies; maintain accurate records of all treasury transactions and ensure proper documentation.
  • Support the month-end closing on expense cycle; track and analyze company expenses to ensure they are within budget; identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to control spending; support the FP&A in the expense cycle.
  • Support the audit process by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. Prepare the monthly reconciliation files. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to local management.
  • Work with other functional areas to achieve efficient and effective accounting practices and procedures and responds to and requests from other functional areas on various inquires.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements that may extend beyond the area of oversight. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2 years + accounting, auditing, actuarial, or insurance administration experience with GAAP reporting and general ledger application experience.
  • PeopleSoft or other accounting software applications experience.
  • Progress towards CPA.
  • General business knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
