Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC), a global project funded by the U.S Government and the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), that provides strategic technical assistance and direct service delivery to achieve HIV epidemic control among all at-risk populations; strengthen global health security (GHS), including outbreak response; expand improve maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH), and enhance nutrition outcomes, address malaria; improve nutrition and promote health systems strengthening (HSS) including supply chain management. In Haiti, EpiC implements HIV, MNCH and Nutrition activities, working closely with the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP).
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Senior Technical Advisor, MNCH/Nutrition, the Nutrition Technical Advisor will provide technical assistance for planning, implementing, and monitoring nutrition activities at national, departmental, and facility/community levels.
The Advisor will work closely with MSPP, implementing partners, and FHI 360’s technical teams to strengthen the quality of nutrition service delivery, promote integration of nutrition into MNCH and HIV services, and build the capacity of local health providers and partners.
This position supports the delivery of evidence-based nutrition interventions, including maternal and infant nutrition counseling, growth monitoring and promotion, screening and management of acute malnutrition, micronutrient supplementation, and community engagement to promote healthy feeding practices.
This position will be based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, with preference for Haitian national candidates.
