Description

Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC, a world class supplier of power generation services, parts and repairs, has an immediate opening for a qualified individual who has a desire to join a growing organization and an appetite for diverse and technically challenging work.

This position will provide EHS technical guidance to the MD&A Outage Services Division. The position reports to the MD&A OSD EHS Manager. This Individual will work outages in remote locations in the continental United States with the potential to work international outages. This position is available to work all shifts.

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following:

  • Works with Project Managers, Field Engineers and Superintendents to ensure compliance with MD&A EHS processes, customer requirements, govt requirements; and ensures accurate documentation of OSD EHS requirements and worker training
  • Supports safety training & education
  • Conducts/Coordinates Instructor led Safety Courses
  • Assists with the retention of training documentation
  • Willingness to become a mobile equipment / overhead crane trainer
  • Prepares daily – per shift relevant safety topics from organizational library
  • Coordinates/completes outage site evaluations and inspections
  • Coordinates Hazard Assessments
  • Assists with customer specific safety plans
  • Attends customer pre-outage safety meetings when needed
  • Assists with event learnings, corrective action development and completion
  • Collaboration and partner with other EHS team members
  • Acts as a coach or mentor to educate craft personnel
  • Works with outage leadership and crafts to develop safe solutions to complex problems

Requirements

  • 2+yrs relevant experience with a safety credential (OHST, CHST, GSP or similar qualification) or EHS related degree with relevant experience.
  • Must have safety related technical experience with cranes, rigging, & LOTO. Strongly prefer experience with preparing or evaluation of critical lift plans. Strongly prefer candidates qualified and experienced in crane, rigging and mobile equipment certification.
  • Must have strong computer and technical writing skills.
  • Power plant experience is a plus.
  • Strong public speaking skills.
  • Human and Organizational Performance experience is a plus.
  • Bi-lingual is a plus.

Salary Description

$76,000-$85,000
