YOUR ROLE
- Core Accounting Responsibilities: Managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Reconciliations, and Month-end Closing Services for multiple clients. Sales and Payroll Tax preparation for clients. Research methodology, tax, and accounting.
- Client Relationship Management: Manage the client relationship for multiple clients that we handle the accounting tasks for, and occasionally meet (over the phone, in person, and via Zoom) to answer questions and present financial statements as needed. Ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple clients’ needs, while maintaining a high level of accounting service and professionalism. Ability to elicit urgent action through persuasive, positive verbal communication.
- Professional Traits & Work Ethic: Works accurately and precisely with tasks of a detailed nature. Willingness to learn and gain experience in multiple areas of accounting. Ability to stay on top of a variety of commitments and deadlines.
YOUR SKILLS
- Knowledge: An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
- Skills:
- Communication: Demonstrates extensive written and verbal communication skills both internally and externally. Plans and actuates personal daily schedule, organization of workload and can adapt to change based upon project urgency. Proven team player with ability to adapt as needed.
- Technology: QuickBooks Online experience is preferred. Familiar with the following software programs: Bill.com, Gusto, ADP, Dext., Smartsheet, and QuickBooks Desktop. Healthcare accounting industry experience is a plus but not required, including working with the software program PointclickCare.
- Time Management: Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Thrives on meeting deadlines and solving problems. Ability to work accurately and precisely with tasks of a detailed nature. Confident in one’s abilities and able to work independently, with minimal direction. Strong work ethic and a “whatever it takes” attitude. Performance is judged on proficiency and effectiveness of task performance, including the quality of work, application of performance, accounting knowledge, and the ability to meet time constraints.
