Overview

This Safety Coordinator role is primarily focused on proactive safety management, assisting with training and programmatic intervention development, and organizational emergency preparedness. Working alongside the compliance-focused Safety Coordinator (who handles incident management and workers' compensation), this role emphasizes preventive safety culture development through data analysis, training design, emergency preparedness, and cross-departmental collaboration.

Come work and play at Seattle’s home mountain, the Summit at Snoqualmie. Located an hour from Seattle, at the junction where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Interstate 90. With summer activities ramping up with spectacular Mountain Biking trails and Scenic Lift Rides, there is a lot to do all year long.

Responsibilities

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducts general safety audits across all base areas and departments to identify hazards and ensure compliance
  • Assists with the management of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) program including biannual updates, quality control, distribution, and accessibility
  • Coordinate with Learning & Org Development Manager to design and deliver comprehensive safety training programs tailored to different departments and job functions
  • Assists with the development and implementation of Emergency Action Plans and Crisis Preparedness Plans
  • Manage On-The-Job Injury (OTJI) proactive processes including form maintenance and accessibility
  • Actively participate in Safety Committee meetings, tracking safety concerns and ensuring follow-up
  • Conduct mock safety audits utilizing OSHA inspection approaches

Wage and Benefit Info:

The wage range for this positions is: from $24.00 to $32.00 DOE

Benefits include: health, dental, vision

Team member will accrue PTO and will earn 2 weeks or more in a 12 month period.

All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff).

All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
