HVAC Regional Operations Support Manager Position Summary:

The HVAC Regional Operations Support Manager, reporting to the Regional General Manager, is responsible for financial operational support, including budgets, forecasts, reports, and cash management. This position will also grow. to include additional business functions such as: overseeing regional dispatch team, estimators, and coordinators, as well as perform moderate accounting activities associated with maintaining operational financial reporting. Works under general supervision following clearly defined procedures and policies.

Essential Functions

  • Support the financial performance of the branch operations, both local operations and finance personnel.
  • Support successful operations consistent with ABM policies, programs, procedures, systems and guidelines.
  • Responsible for financial operational support to include budgets, forecasts, reports, cash management, and ad hoc projects, as needed.
  • Support margin growth and evaluate organization for potential efficiencies.
  • Manage regional operations support team including dispatchers, coordinators, and estimators.
  • Assist with implementation of operational improvements to improve service and client experience.
  • Review regional operations financial performance and recommend areas for improvement.
  • Develop, evaluate and analyze key operational performance metrics based on company goals and expectations.
  • Training on financial, work order management, and other systems as well as other operational topics, as needed.
  • Timely reporting of KPI performance and other metrics
  • Support and report on A/P and A/R to assure optimum cash flow.
  • Ability to work across multiple business units and support other divisions of the company.
  • Provide support for any special projects as assigned by your Regional General Manager.
  • Communication with ABM Operations Team and general management to coordinate functions of the regional
  • operations support team.
  • Responsible for supporting up to 10 direct employees and all regional service technicians.
  • Supports operations department within assigned regional territory.
  • Reports to Regional General Manager.
  • Direct reports are dispatchers, coordinators, and estimators.
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of HVAC service industry experience.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred, High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of HVAC service industry experience.
  • Strong accounting skills with ability to manage and interpret financial reports.
  • Professional communication skills over the phone and email with customers and internal team members.
  • Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to use discretion and judgment to make timely decisions.
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • May require up to 10% travel.
