The Role:

Lead the plant engineering function for battery manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to process specifications, driving continuous improvement and automation projects, and standardizing best practices. Manage process changes, support new product introductions, and lead technological enhancements that enable production, quality, and safety targets to be achieved.

What You’ll Do (Impact Areas):

  • General administration of maintenance systems.
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of process documentation for battery manufacturing.
  • Evaluate compliance with process specifications and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead implementation of process improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives.
  • Administer process changes resulting from projects, best-practice replications, and improvement ideas, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Coordinate the launch of new products and/or processes at the plant level.
  • Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Project teams for problem-solving and process optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety, and CMS management systems.
  • Participate in audits, root cause analyses, and support High-Performance Teams (HPT) initiatives.

What You Bring (Qualifications):

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.

Professional Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering, preferably within the automotive, chemical, or battery industries.
  • Previous experience as a Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or Process SME.
  • Proven leadership in improvement projects, automation, and new product launches.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of battery manufacturing processes.
  • Design for Manufacturing and process standardization.
  • Process FMEA, Statistical Process Control (SPC), 8D, Six Sigma.
  • CMS, PowerD3, 1PLUS, or equivalent methodologies.
  • Engineering drawings interpretation.
  • Change management and technical documentation.

Skills:

Technical leadership, decision-making, effective communication, results orientation, analytical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving.

Languages:

Advanced English.
