Job Title: Warehouse Worker Driver

Job Description

This role is based in a warehouse environment, providing crucial support and assistance in various areas. The position also involves delivering materials to local customers, enhancing customer satisfaction through timely and efficient service.

Responsibilities

  • Driving Duties (30% of the time):
  • Pick up and deliver all materials to customer sites in the West Portland Metro area using a 24-foot box truck.
  • Maintain a clean vehicle and organize truck materials effectively.
  • Follow all traffic laws and employ safe driving practices consistently.
  • Ensure orders are delivered on time with minimal delays, lifting up to 50lb boxes as necessary.
  • Warehouse/Production Duties (70% of the time):
  • Operate various machines for cutting and producing specialty packaging, including die cutters, glue-machines, and crate building materials, with training provided.
  • Collaborate with team members, demonstrating flexibility and completing orders promptly.
  • Check all shipping documentation and ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Operate electric, sit-down forklift with provided training.
  • Utilize basic hand tools for crating materials, lifting up to 50lb boxes as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in driving, packing, inventory management, and production.
  • Experience with box trucks, packaging, and material handling.
  • Ability to stand, lift, walk, and move throughout the entire shift.
  • Strong reliability and excellent attendance record.
  • Clean driving record with no significant violations.
  • Effective customer service skills for deliveries.
  • Willingness to work cooperatively with others, take directions, and communicate respectfully.
  • Comfortable using a forklift and pallet jack.
  • Must be comfortable around dogs, as the team includes three calm and friendly Bernese Mountain Dogs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilsonville, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
