Day, Evening, and Overnight Shifts Available | Full-Time & Part-Time

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and adolescents (ages 5–22) with autism and developmental disabilities. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in our residential program, you’ll help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can grow, thrive, and achieve greater independence.

Your Impact

  • Support children with daily routines including hygiene, meals, dressing, and medication.
  • Create a positive, structured environment that encourages communication, play, and skill-building.
  • Use behavior support strategies to promote emotional regulation and reduce challenging behavior.
  • Partner with clinical, educational, and healthcare teams to support individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide transportation and community integration support for outings, appointments, and school transitions.

What You Need

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license with at least 1 year of driving experience.
  • Patience, compassion, and the ability to support children with diverse communication and behavioral needs
  • Experience supporting children or individuals with special needs (preferred but not required)
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check

Support & Inspire Students with Autism | May Institute School, Randolph, MA

Are you passionate about education and behavior support? Join May Institute’s School for Autism as a Floating Classroom Counselor where you’ll help students ages 3-21 develop essential skills using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in a collaborative classroom setting.

Your Role

  • Implement Behavior Plans: Support students by applying individualized intervention strategies.
  • Provide Hands-On Classroom Support: Foster positive behaviors and meaningful social interactions.
  • Collaborate with Educators: Work alongside teachers and behavior analysts to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Track Progress & Data: Collect and analyze student data to refine strategies and interventions.
  • Engage with Families: Communicate student progress and offer strategies for consistency at home.

What You Bring

  • 18+ years old with a valid and current U.S. driver’s license.
  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferred in psychology, education, or related field) or 1+ years working as a May Randolph Teacher Assistant
  • Experience in special education or developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal & organizational skills for collaboration and data tracking.
  • Genuine passion for supporting individuals with autism.
