Senior Financial Analyst, Sales & Marketing



The Senior Financial Analyst-Sales & Marketing position provides financial planning and analytic insights that inform and influence business decisions across the Sales & Marketing organizations. This analyst works closely with other teams and senior leadership. This person will provide data-driven forecasts and actionable recommendations to guide business strategies and tactics.


  • BA/BS Degree in Finance, Business Analytics, or related discipline preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role in a high growth environment preferred
  • Extensive operational knowledge of Sales and Marketing business units, preferably with a SaaS or high tech company
  • Strong understanding and experience in Financial P/L Planning, Reporting, and Analysis
  • Strong experience building and interpreting Financial models
  • Strong understanding and experience in establishing Key Performance Indicators
  • Experience creating efficiencies in business process
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with internal clients with a consultative approach
  • Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical mindset, highly organized
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, particularly around data visualizations and summarizing results
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of full Microsoft Suite with Advanced MS Excel Skills (formulas, charting, data tables, statistical modeling, forecasting/trend analysis, pivot tables)
  • Experience and knowledge of Netsuite, Adaptive, Tableau or similar reporting/financial tools


  • Partner with and serve as a liaison to the Sales and Marketing organizations to support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and business analytical needs
  • Collaborate with other analysts to provide analysis across other business areas of the company as needed
  • Leverage data to understand our global business in depth by using advanced analytical tools to interpret data, identify trends, and translate analyses into recommendations to improve effectiveness and support business objectives
  • Develop and maintain accurate tracking, capturing and reporting of key data and business metrics
  • Pro-actively monitor the business and report key insights on the business
  • Consult with management to understand current and future business goals and strategies, and ensure that high-visibility reporting and analysis is aligned
  • Provide guidance around standardizing and implementing Dashboards/Scorecards to measure defined goals and strategies
  • All other duties as assigned
