What You Can Expect
The Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing the Strategic Alliance Business where Zimmer Biomet implements distribution agreements with partners. In this role, you will develop and manage long-term strategic supplier relationships to deliver total cost reductions and technical innovations, monitor the supply market and lead Strategic Sourcing Projects.
How You'll Create Impact
- Create and execute project plans and implementation strategies
- Develop strategies to improve the processes, procedures and the project flow in EMEA Sourcing
- Collect, analyse and communicate data to influence decision makers in such areas as supplier selection and strategic alliance agreements aligned with Zimmer Biomet Sourcing/Procurement strategies
- Anticipate issues which may impact Zimmer Biomet during business, fluctuating markets or contracts and address those issues effectively
- Identify and assess problems, collect information, develop alternatives and create mitigation plans for adverse issues
- Develop ongoing negotiation strategies and manage against short- and long-term market forces which affects Zimmer Biomet
- Construct pricing and cost models to project future trends in categories with consultations from functional experts as needed
- Plan and/or lead complex negotiations of long-term strategic contracts for categories that have significant financial or strategic impact on the company
- Make sourcing recommendations in line with global sourcing strategies and ensure compliance with global & regional contracts in the Strategic Alliance category
- Use KPI metrics and formal performance feedback meetings to drive supplier performance improvement
- Team Management - define, delegate and level responsibilities within team environment and measure team performance against established goals
- Accurately assess strengths and development needs of employees

Your Background
- Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Finance, Engineering or related fields)
- Min. 5 years of working experience in Supply Chain and/or Operations and/or Procurement/Sourcing
- Medical device experience would be beneficial
- Fluency in English
- Good understanding of the analytical and financial modelling processes of the supply base in determining their pricing strategies
- Good underdstanding of legal aspects of purchasing, including contract law, with some international experience
- Familiar with all standard purchasing practices and techniques (market knowledge, data analysis, cost management, negotiations, contract formation, etc.)
- Strong team skills and the ability to act as key facilitator with operations and suppliers to affect change within the sourcing category
- Ability to provide clear direction and priorities throughout team
- Advanced knowledge of planning and purchasing systems
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and budgeting practices
- Strong IT Skills (MS Office, ERP- Systems – SAP as a plus)
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
