Senior Supply Chain Manager

Supply Chain Professional – Global Sourcing & Manufacturing

We’re looking for a supply chain leader to manage end-to-end global sourcing and manufacturing operations. This role covers:

  • Overseeing lead times and production schedules
  • Managing content requirements and logistics
  • Acting as the interface between engineering and manufacturing
  • Controlling costs and mitigating risks
  • Potentially developing new supplier networks

Our ideal candidate has experience in automotive or industrial manufacturing sourcing and can transfer that expertise to a new context—solar and mounting systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a global supply chain strategy aligned with organizational goals for solar projects.
  • Oversee long-term planning for procurement, inventory, and logistics to support utility-scale renewable energy projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve supplier performance.
  • Manage sourcing and procurement of critical components (solar panels, inverters, racking systems, electrical components, etc.).
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers in the renewable energy sector.
  • Negotiate long-term contracts that deliver value, ensure compliance, and mitigate risks.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance using KPIs, scorecards, and audits.
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, and project management teams to align supply chain activities with project timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of materials across multiple regions.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks related to tariffs, geopolitics, and global market fluctuations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals across procurement, logistics, and materials management.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with local, federal, and international trade regulations.
  • Provide accurate reporting on supply chain metrics, including cost savings, lead times, and supplier performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering (MBA preferred).
