POSITION TITLE: Associate Director, Responsible Investing Strategic Partnerships

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field required; post-graduate degree preferred
- Minimum of 8 years’ professional experience in investment management or industry related knowledge required
- Demonstrated interest or experience in responsible investing, ESG research and stewardship required
- Experience in investment management marketing or communications preferred
- Experience in corporate sustainability, ESG research and/or responsible investing preferred
- Extensive knowledge of ESG and responsible investing reporting and content creation preferred
MAJOR DUTIES:
The Associate Director, Responsible Investing (RI) Strategic Partnerships is a member of the Responsible Investing Office (RIO). This position concentrates on management of responsible investing thought leadership, strategic partnerships, written communications and corporate sustainability. This position works closely with RIO leadership, global investment teams, legal, marketing and EOS at Federated Hermes Limited to leverage to enrich knowledge dissemination of firm-wide responsible investing practices.
- Partners with members of the Responsible Investing Office in advancing responsible investing thought leadership, strategic partnerships, and corporate responsibility by authoring and co-authoring original internal and external materials targeting a variety of global audiences.
- Identifies and serves as primary liaison with targeted influential industry organizations.
- Designs and maintains the Responsible Investing Office content schedule including publication of corporate sustainability reports and policies, ESG rating agencies and PRI submissions, legal response material, white papers, thematic articles and thought leadership pieces.
- Manages, determines content, and implements the customization, accuracy and completeness of presentations for internal and external responsible investing audiences across all asset-classes and regions.
- Conducts research and regularly reports on responsible investing trends, industry conferences, messaging and market practices in different geographic regions.
- Leads the preparation, planning and execution of all corporate sustainability reporting, PRI submissions, ESG rating agency responses and management of strategic industry partnerships.
- Assists in the preparation, planning and execution of regular integration and engagement review meetings with all Federated Hermes investment teams globally.
- Liaises with the EOS at Federated Hermes Limited stewardship teams and helps manage the integration of financial connectivity into global content and communications.
- Interfaces with marketing and corporate communications to ensure accuracy of RFP and website materials, assists in influential writing for media relations, and manages public speaking appearances for the Responsible Investing Office.
HOURS/LOCATION:
- 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Overtime as required)
- Federated Hermes Tower – Hybrid (in office / remote)
EXPLANATORY COMMENTS:

- Must possess exceptional analytical ability, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, diplomacy and experience presenting research results to investment professionals.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, and content databases.
- Fluency in English, written and verbal, is required.
- Avid writer with experience in authoring original content including articles, white papers, marketing presentations, press releases, speeches and academic publications.
