Summary
The Clinical Informatics Pharmacist is responsible for effective process design, development, and support of clinical information systems associated with pharmacy ordering, administration and documentation. Demonstrates independent decision making as appropriate in evaluation of requests for system improvements and determines feasibility and advisability of system changes using process improvement methods. Collaborates with clinicians, leadership, and vendors to ensure quality patient care and effective system operations.
This teammate position is a member of the ISD Epic Willow team and will primarily support Willow Ambulatory, Willow Inventory, and Specialty Pharmacies across the UNC Healthcare enterprise. The teammate will also be expected to be Willow Inpatient certified as some responsibilities will be intertwined. On call coverage (24/7 including after hours, weekends and holidays) will be focused on Willow Ambulatory with an expected 15 minute response to any priority tickets. A key focus will be to optimize outpatient pharmacy workflows, develop specialty pharmacy workflows, and provide assistance to end users.
Ideal candidate will have retail or specialty pharmacy experience, Epic knowledge or Willow Ambulatory/Inventory/Inpatient certifications, and at minimum 2 years supporting Epic.
