Manager, Load Flexibility and Analysis
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Manager of Load Flexibility and Analysis will lead a team to encourage demand side flexibility, value flexibility for the system, and integrate it into the planning process. This team will lead the design and expansion of use cases associated with dispatchable distributed energy resources (“DER”), demand response (“DR”), and other customer program options, providing expertise on cost drivers, economic evaluations, and other demand side management topics. The Load Flexibility and Analysis team will proactively monitor industry trends and develop new analysis and modeling techniques for emerging demand side technologies. This team will also be responsible for energy efficiency economic evaluations, and support regulatory requirements associated with this analysis.
Additionally, the Manager of Load Flexibility and Analysis will lead a team responsible for detailed engineering studies, energy simulations, economic analysis, and the annual development of the system's marginal costing tool. Output from this team will be used to inform and support peer organizations and regulatory filings across state regulated electric operating companies, including integrated resource plans and rate cases. The position must effectively engage and partner with planning, operations, regulatory, pricing, marketing, policy, research, innovation, and customer functions across the system to execute organizational goals. The Manager of Load Flexibility and Analysis may be asked to represent the Company in regulatory filings and hearings, as well as represent the Company in other external engagements.
