Position Summary

Perform advanced set up, operation, and monitoring of production in a work center and participate in the continuous improvement process to address safety, production, and quality improvements. Additional tasks consist of assisting with material flow (loading, unloading, lifting, and moving material), and provide guidance to all support personal as required (laborers, material handlers, packers, etc.).

Job Duties

  • Set up and maintain saw machine
  • Operate equipment to fabricate, manufacture, assemble, or move product
  • Conduct in-process quality checks and resolve issues as required
  • Assist with equipment maintenance activities
  • Maintain and monitor machine to ensure it functions properly
  • Develop in-depth understanding of how assigned equipment functions
  • Operate forklift as required to support manufacturing
  • Interpret production work orders and record / report production data including scrap
  • Maintain work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and organized manner
  • Use measurement tools to ensure accuracy
  • Experience operating a saw (1 – 3 years)
  • Able to be flexible and respond to the changing needs of the organization, including working overtime as required
  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Education

A high school diploma or GED preferred; trade school or military experience a plus

Experience & Skills

  • Forklift experience preferred

$ 24 - $ 30 HOUR
