Brief Job Description:
The Southern Region Consultants and Contractors Account Manager is responsible for cultivating and maintaining trusted relationships with consultants and contractors across Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, and Tasmania. This role is pivotal in identifying, developing, and growing a robust pipeline of business opportunities throughout the Southern Region.
This role, is critical in driving the success of the broader sales portfolio. The ideal candidate is a seasoned account management professional with a proactive and disciplined approach, passionate about building strong, long-term partnerships. This role demands strategic thinking, regional market insight, and a commitment to delivering value to both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and own relationships: Establish and nurture high-value, trust-based relationships with consultants and contractors across VIC, SA, WA, and TAS to unlock new business opportunities and accelerate revenue growth.
- Promote Vertiv Solutions: Actively educate and advocate Vertiv as the preferred partner in critical infrastructure.
- Own the Consultant & Contractor Ecosystem: Develop and manage a network of influential consultants and contractors, ensuring consistent engagement and alignment with Vertiv’s strategic objectives.
- Execute Engagement Programs: Lead regular Master Classes, technical briefings, and engagement activities to deepen market understanding of Vertiv’s offerings and drive solution adoption.
- Generate Sales Opportunities: Identify and cultivate opportunities for both product and service sales through strategic collaboration with consultants and contractors.
- Increase Specification Wins: Proactively influence project specifications to include Vertiv solutions, increasing win rates and market share.
- Enable Sales Team Success: Facilitate seamless introductions and handovers to sales teams, ensuring smooth transitions and successful deal closures.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Provide regular updates and insights to product and service teams, aligning efforts and maximizing impact across the business.
- Accelerate Sales Activity: Drive coordinated sales efforts between consultants, contractors, and internal teams to exceed revenue targets and profitability goals.
- Strategic Market Engagement: Design and implement targeted engagement strategies to maximize Vertiv’s presence and potential in key market segments.
- Expand Market Reach: Leverage cross-functional collaboration to enhance Vertiv’s value proposition and uncover new market development opportunities.
- Lead Sales Initiatives: Identify and initiate sales activities aligned with Vertiv’s portfolio, ensuring timely follow-up and conversion.
- Territory Planning: Develop and execute detailed account and territory plans to ensure consistent pipeline growth and opportunity conversion.
- Host Promotional Events: Organise and participate in educational seminars, product demonstrations, and promotional events to elevate Vertiv’s brand and solution awareness.
- Support Growth Strategy: Partner with the sales leaders to implement growth strategies and drive market expansion across the Southern Region.

Qualifications:
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Engineering or related field
- 5+ years experience in sales
- Relationship building experience
- Strong commercial acumen
- Electrical and Thermal background
- Sales experience working with contractors and consultants
- Consistently meeting or exceeding targets
- Strong presentation skills
