Nurse Internship, Methodist Hospital - Summer 2026

Methodist Hospital is looking to hire Student Nurse Interns to join our team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary: Provides timely, high quality patient care to clients and information to RNs, physicians and other members of a diverse health care team. Collaborates with RN in carrying out plan of care from patient information collected. Assists in providing health information to patients as delegated by RN. Will attend all SSNI professional development seminars sponsored by Park Nicollet. Will be scheduled to work 0.8 FTE throughout the summer. Successful candidates will have good student status, good customer service, telephone, computer and patient care technology skills.

To Qualify:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a BAN, BSN, or MSN nursing program and not currently licensed, with an anticipated graduation date of December 2026 or Spring 2027 (please ensure your graduation date is listed on your resume)
  • Applicants must have completed at least 1 in-person clinical rotation to apply
  • Must enroll and participate in a 1 credit Minnesota based internship course

Internship Description:

  • 10-week paid internship
  • June 1st - August 7th, 2026
  • Work schedule: 64 hours per two-week pay period
  • 30 hours of shadowing in other specialty departments
  • Intern lunch and learning sessions with fellow interns
  • Supportive learning environment for nursing students
  • Opportunity to continue in the Extended Student Nurse Internship role until graduation

This is a supportive learning environment for Nursing students at Methodist Hospital with various opportunities on different units. We care for COVID-19 patients potentially in every department. Inpatient units including:

  • Emergency Center
  • Oncology
  • Neurology
  • Float Pool
  • Family Birth Center
  • Cardiac Telemetry
  • Medical/Surgical
  • Orthopedics
  • Special Care Nursery
  • Progressive Care
  • Observation/Short stay
