Value Senior Advisor – Procurement and Spend Transformation

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

SAP has set a clear strategic direction of AI First, Suite First to help customers accelerate their business transformation through SAP's Business Suite portfolio. The Value Advisory (VA) team plays a crucial role in this mission, partnering with customers to design long-term business strategies, align them with SAP solutions and measurable business outcomes, develop business cases to justify technology investments, and guide customers on their value realization journey.

About the Role

The Procurement & Spend Transformation Value Advisor plays a strategic and consultative role in helping Chief Procurement Officers (CPOs) and senior executives redefine their procurement strategy, operating model, and supplier ecosystem. The role goes beyond traditional solution selling — it focuses on connecting SAP’s capabilities with quantifiable business outcomes such as cost efficiency, risk mitigation, supplier collaboration, and ESG performance.

As a trusted advisor, you will collaborate with Sales, Presales, and Industry teams to design and deliver executive-level engagements that demonstrate how SAP solutions – including SAP Ariba, SAP Business Network, and SAP S/4HANA Procurement – enable strategic procurement transformation and enterprise value creation. You will continuously support customers in realizing tangible value throughout their transformation journey.

Key Aspects of the Role

1. Define Procurement Strategy, Business Case, and Value Proposition

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to align SAP solutions with customers’ procurement strategies, organizational goals, and value drivers.
  • Lead value discovery workshops to identify improvement opportunities across Source-to-Pay (S2P) and supplier collaboration processes.
  • Develop strategic business cases that quantify transformation value (e.g., cost savings, cash flow impact, supplier risk reduction, and sustainability).
  • Present a compelling case for change to C-level executives, linking business outcomes to SAP’s technology capabilities.

2. Lead Value Engagement and Project Management

  • Oversee the full value lifecycle from discovery to realization and optimization, in line with SAP’s Value Management methodologies.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure value realization is continuously monitored and optimized post-implementation.

3. Leverage Data and Research for Insights

  • Utilize tools such as SAP Signavio, Ariba Benchmarking, and other data-driven insights to challenge existing processes and inspire transformation.
  • • Quantify and validate post-implementation value by benchmarking key procurement KPIs and outcomes.

4. Promote Business and IT Alignment

  • Facilitate strong collaboration between business and IT teams to ensure alignment on strategic priorities.
  • Use Value Enablement frameworks to standardize and replicate best practices across industries and accounts.

5. Contribute to Thought Leadership

  • Develop and share procurement transformation success stories, best practices, and market insights to strengthen SAP’s leadership position in the market.

Experience & Educational Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Consulting, ideally focused on procurement strategy, category management, or digital transformation.
  • Proven experience engaging with C-level executives (especially CPOs and CFOs) and influencing transformation agendas.
  • Strong understanding of Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes and procurement best practices.
  • Experience in developing quantitative business cases and ROI models for enterprise transformation.
  • Excellent consulting, facilitation, and storytelling skills with a strong executive presence.
  • Knowledge of SAP’s procurement and spend management portfolio (SAP Ariba, SAP Business Network, SAP Fieldglass, S/4HANA Procurement, SAP ERP MM) is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree preferred.
  • Fluency in Korean required; business-level English communication skills preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

Key Attributes

  • Strategic mindset with analytical and financial understanding.
  • Trusted advisor approach – able to connect operational KPIs to business value.
  • Clear and confident communicator, capable of delivering executive-level messages.
  • Collaborative team player who enjoys working in a matrix environment.
  • Passionate about procurement innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation.
