Role Overview:

Nuix is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Manager specialising in managing our Platform capability as we transition our B2B products to SaaS. The candidate ideally will have a background in any of the following: cloud platform architecture, SaaS product development, enterprise software platforms, or multi-tenant systems. As the Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in setting the strategic product management vision for Nuix's platform transformation initiative. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the platform's commercial success and scalability, while driving innovation, growth, and customer satisfaction. We are looking for a dynamic individual who can be a positive influence within the team, act as a change agent, and possess the expertise to identify and achieve commercial outputs for the platform infrastructure.

This position will be based in our Sydney office. The candidate is required to attend the office a minimum of 3 days per week but may voluntarily elect to work either remotely or from the Sydney office for the remaining days of the week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate a strategic product management vision for the Nuix Platform capability, enabling seamless B2B to SaaS transformation and aligning with Nuix's overall objectives.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback analysis to identify market trends, platform requirements, and opportunities for platform innovation and differentiation in the SaaS landscape.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, architecture, DevOps, sales, marketing, and customer success, to define and prioritize platform roadmap initiatives based on strategic goals and customer requirements.
  • Drive the end-to-end platform lifecycle, from architecture design through to deployment, as well as perform on-going lifecycle management, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality platform capabilities and features.
  • Define and track key platform metrics, including performance, scalability, reliability, and cost optimization, regularly assess platform performance, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in cloud platform architecture, multi-tenancy, microservices, API design, and SaaS infrastructure, providing guidance and expertise to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including engineering teams, infrastructure specialists, security teams, and business units, to understand their platform needs and incorporate their requirements into the platform roadmap.
  • Champion the platform internally, effectively communicating its value proposition, benefits, and competitive advantages to internal teams and executives, demonstrating how platform capabilities enable business growth.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and architecture teams to develop platform standards, best practices, and governance frameworks that ensure consistency, security, and scalability across all SaaS offerings.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to cloud platforms, SaaS architecture, security, and compliance requirements, and incorporate that knowledge into the platform strategy and roadmap.
  • Drive platform cost optimization initiatives, working with finance and engineering teams to establish efficient resource utilization and pricing models for internal platform consumption.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant technical field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of at least 5+ years in product management, with a specialization in Platform development (cloud platforms, SaaS infrastructure, or enterprise software platforms with experience in platform monetization, multi-tenancy, and system integrations).
  • Experience with JIRA, Aha!, ServiceNow, and cloud platform management tools (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Demonstrated ability to set a strategic platform management vision and successfully execute it, driving commercial success and operational efficiency for the platform infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data-driven insights to make informed platform architecture and investment decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional technical teams and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others, act as a positive role model, and drive change within the organization, particularly in technical transformation initiatives.
  • Experience in agile development methodologies and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with DevOps and continuous deployment practices.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud computing, SaaS platforms, multi-tenant architecture, API design, security frameworks, and related technologies.
  • Understanding of enterprise software compliance requirements, data governance, and security standards relevant to eDiscovery and investigation platforms.
  • There may be travel requirements in select cases, but the role is primarily based out of Sydney CBD, with support for a hybrid work environment.
