Position Summary
The Department of Psychiatry at Morehouse School of Medicine is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor level Psychiatrist with a strong interest in community psychiatry. The successful candidate should be comfortable working with a culturally diverse patient population and with treatment teams within a multidisciplinary, multi-specialty environment. This is an outpatient position.

Description of Job Duty
General Responsibilities:
Engage in teaching, scholarly, and clinical service in the field of psychiatry and behavioral sciences. Participate in the teaching programs of the Department. Engage in patient care activities consistent with the department’s needs and the faculty member’s interests. Assume some administrative duties such as serving on institutional committees and assisting with the Psychiatry Residency Program and/or the Psychiatry Clerkships.
Specific Position Details:
Serve as an attending for Grady Behavioral Health Outpatient Services, along with other MSM faculty. The clinical sites will include residents, and medical, nursing, and PA students. Outpatient services include traditional scheduled outpatient appointments as well as services in a primary care setting as part of Behavioral Health Integration in Primary Care utilizing telepsychiatry. In addition to patient care, the attending will be responsible for teaching, supervision, and evaluation of trainees.
Immunization Requirements
It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are encouraged to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
