Compensation:
At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $94,160 - $130,000. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.
Join Our Team as a Sourcing Manager!
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Sourcing Manager to lead procurement activities for capital equipment and maintenance services. This role will drive supplier selection, contract negotiation, and lifecycle cost optimization across high-impact categories including machinery, infrastructure upgrades, and MROC (Maintenance, Repair & Operations on Capitals). The ideal candidate combines technical fluency with commercial & supply chain management acumen, ensuring sourcing decisions align with operational reliability, budget targets, and long-term asset value.
Key Responsibilities:
Capital Sourcing Strategy
- Partner with departmental/value stream leaders and key stakeholders to implement a global sourcing strategy for Capital Equipment (including, but not limited to: fabrication, machining, testing, automation, facility, etc.) and Maintenance (“MROC”) based on industry and market trends and conditions and continue to assess in the medium/long term (3-5 years) horizon.
- Develop a segmentation database/strategy to provide visibility to S&C management & key stakeholders. 
- Lead sourcing for capital projects including manufacturing equipment (e.g., fabrication, machining, testing, automation), and facility upgrades, and infrastructure investments.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Finance to align sourcing plans with CapEx budgets and ROI targets.
- Manage RFx processes, supplier/bid evaluations, and total cost of ownership analyses.
Maintenance & MROC Sourcing
- Oversee sourcing of maintenance services, spare parts, and MROC supplies.
- Develop supplier performance metrics focused on uptime, responsiveness, and cost control.
- Collaborate with Maintenance/Facility teams to forecast needs and reduce unplanned downtime.
Supplier Management & Negotiation
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships across capital and maintenance categories.
- Lead negotiations on contracts, service level agreements, and warranties to mitigate risk and ensure value and optimized TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).
- Monitor market trends and identify alternative sources to improve competitiveness.
Compliance & Risk Mitigation
- Ensure sourcing activities comply with internal policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support audits and documentation for capital projects and maintenance contracts.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Function as sourcing lead on cross-functional capital project teams.
- Manage contract compliance activities

What you’ll Need To Succeed:
Required 
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5- years of sourcing experience, with at least 2 years in capital equipment or maintenance categories in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience with complex contracts. 
- Sound understanding of manufacturing processes for industrial products and components, including fabrication and machining, both passive and active.
- Familiarity with asset lifecycle management, CapEx planning, and MRO optimization.
- Ability to lead project teams and provide direction to cross-functional project groups.
- Great critical thinking, organizational, planning and project management skills, coordinating internal and external resources, creative problem-solving when obstacles arise, and juggling a heavy volume of diverse operational/tactical projects to deadlines and budgets. 
- Great people skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect, navigate and resolve conflict, moderate behaviors and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience. 
- Sound communication skills, (written, verbal, listening and presentation) able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels from leadership to support staff. Ability to influence leaders toward making sound supply management decisions.
- Sound business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to use and analyze data to drive informed decisions, problem-solve difficult issues and leverage data and learnings to drive continuous improvement. 
- Financial acumen and numerical ability to manage budgetary resources to maximum effectiveness.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint 
- Ability to travel. 
Preferred
- Master’s degree in business administration (MBA)
- Experience in manufacturing, utilities, or facilities management.
- Knowledge of reliability engineering or PM (Preventive Maintenance) /TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
- Ability to balance strategic planning with tactical execution.
- Certified in Supply Management (CSM)
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
- PMP certification
