Job Description Summary:
Faegre Drinker has an opportunity for a Senior Director of Practice Management to work with our Practice Management team in our Chicago, Denver, downtown Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, or Washington, D.C. offices. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for ensuring the effective administration, business operation, and project management of Practice Group initiatives and firm-wide initiatives as well as helping develop and execute strategies to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of our Practice Groups and the Practice Group Directors who directly support them. This position will work with other talented individuals who share a passion for doing great work in the best interest of our clients and the firm.
Job Description:
What you would do:
- Lead, develop, and manage the Practice Management Professionals and Paraprofessional Director, including focusing on motivating and cultivating a high-performance culture through mentoring, training, and providing candid, real-time feedback to support each team member’s professional career growth
- Direct and manage the Practice Management Professionals and oversee their support to the Practice Groups, including executing on Executive Leadership Team priorities for Practice Groups, managing day-to-day activities of the Practice Management Professionals and helping prioritize workload and resources.
- Partner with the firm’s Operations Leadership Team (OLT) to provide and ensure support to Practice Groups from OLT functional areas and to implement strategic initiatives relating to the business and operations of the firm’s Practice Groups.
- Partner with Practice Group Leaders and Practice Management Professionals firm-wide to proactively identify organizational issues, formulate solutions and engage OLT department leadership and Chiefs as needed.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned

The anticipated initial annual salary range for someone who is hired into this position is $250,000– $290,000.
Actual initial salary may be above or below the above-identified range and will be based on the relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, including the location where the position is filled, in all cases consistent with applicable law. This is an exempt role and the initial salary range listed above is just one component of Faegre Drinker's total compensation and benefits package for professional staff, which includes, but is not limited to: a discretionary bonus; life, health, accident, and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.

What is required:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business administration or finance, or equivalent years of experience required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 15 years or more of relevant practice management experience, including 10 years of experience at a senior managerial level, ideally operating successfully at an AmLaw 100 law firm or leading investment banking, consulting, or accounting firm
