Due to continuous growth and expansion, Pharmathen Pharmaceuticals offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to recruit a Health & Safety Lead for the Industrial Operations division in our Sapes premises.
As a Health & Safety Lead, the ideal candidate will execute health, safety, and evacuation plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines and internal procedures.
More particularly:
What you will do: 
- Provide Health and Safety measures, assess risks associated with tools and equipment, jobsites, and work environments within their assigned research market
- Support staff with the identification of environmental aspects and determining the project objectives and target
- Monitor Health & Safety incidents of injury, illness, and other situations
- Develop hazard control processes, methods, and programs
- Recommend solutions to issues that need improvement and design strategies to reduce incidents of illness, environmental accidents, and other issues that may affect public safety
- Monitor implementation of safety plans according to plans and objectives
- Maintain and manage equipment and processes related to each project of Health & Safety
- Prepare future safety plans based on past experiences and facts, design training programs to provide safety awareness education
- Support the Top Management in the Health & Safety Policy and Guidelines issue, in the Organization roles and responsibilities definition, for what concerns safety aspects and Health & Safety Management System standard issue
- Be responsible for the ISO 14001 compliance, follow up and maintenance
- Provide management teams with guidance on Health & Safety and confirm that the projects fulfill industry and federal guidelines
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- Bachelor Degree in Science / Engineering or equivalent field with additional professional qualifications in Health & Safety and /or Safety Management Systems
- At least 7 years of experience in a relevant role
- Proven people management experience
Job-Specific Skills: 
- Excellent command of English language
- Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- Computer literate
- Project Management skills
- Ability to prioritize and delegate effectively
