We are looking for an exceptional, experienced, and motivated commercial and transactional attorney to support our Global Supply Chain, Technology, Licensing and/or Marketing business functions including sourcing/procurement, licensing, services, SaaS, logistics, transportation, innovation and/or strategic partnerships. As corporate counsel, this role works cross-functionally and collaborates with various departments to mitigate legal risks and support business objectives.

As a corporate counsel, you will…

  • Provide Legal Advice: offer legal counsel on a wide range of commercial matters to various business functions within the company.
  • Draft and Review Contracts: prepare, review, and negotiate contracts to meet business objectives and advise on compliance with company policies and legal standards.
  • Compliance Management: advise the business on compliance with relevant laws and regulations, mitigating legal risks.
  • Policy Development: assist in the development and implementation of business policies and procedures.
  • Risk Assessment: conduct legal risk assessments and exercise sound judgment to provide advice to mitigate potential liabilities.

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • JD degree and active license to practice law in applicable jurisdiction(s)
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department

  • If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
