Our fabulous Maintenance Team are responsible for provision of best practice support and customer service across the Production and Maintenance departments, and we have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Maintenance Electrician at our bustling Northmead site.

Your role will be responsible for delivering sustainable improvements that ensure our operations objectives are achieved. You will be a key driver in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the maintenance team by eliminating potential delays through response time to plant failures and maintenance work performed to determine areas of improvement.

Delivering detailed maintenance skills that support our Site to achieve optimal equipment uptime, you will be integral to the ongoing success of not only the team but the business as a whole!

This is a full-time role at our Northmead factory and is a Multi Skilled position and as part of our Maintenance Team, you may be directed to do some tasks that are outside of your main trade.

A typical day for you, would look like (but not be limited to):

  • Completing all maintenance, inspection and repair tasks as allocated on all aspects of the site plant and equipment.
  • Support culture of continuous improvement in maintenance across the business
  • Effective and timely completion of all plant and equipment maintenance and repair tasks as set by the Maintenance Manager, Team Managers & Planner.
  • Review and analyse maintenance work performed to determine negative trends and develop action plans to correct.
  • Completion of all applicable documentation within given timescales
  • Support and develop the site Maintenance Strategy
  • Contribute and lead if required, any RCA and reliability based tasks on site as appropriate.
  • Complete all other reasonable tasks as set, to ensure the site maintenance function is effective.
  • Ensure all behaviors are aligned with business vision policies and site objectives.
  • Engage operations and maintenance staff to provide sharing knowledge and experience.
  • Accurately booking out spare parts, consumables and accessories from the store’s inventory

To be successful, in this role you must have or possess:

  • Trade Qualifications
  • Manufacturing or Beverage / FMCG process knowledge and experience.
  • Previous experience with continuous high speed processing and packaging equipment in an industrial production environment.
  • Relevant experience in a continuous process industrial mechanical environment.
  • Proven pneumatics installations and fault finding skills
  • Various Machining and welding skills
  • Good knowledge in use of CMMS based maintenance systems
  • Constructive two-way engagement with all stakeholders and sites
  • Good interpersonal skills and stakeholder management abilities required to build the necessary relationships with peers, operations and maintenance lead team.
  • Regulatory and legal compliance knowledge and understanding the implications for the business
  • High level process improvement skills with analytical ability and strategic problem solving skills (root cause analysis, FMECA, process improvements & corrective actions)
