Position Summary
my529 is seeking an experienced editor to work in a collaborative setting. Key skills include a fine wit and creative turn of phrase, a passion for collaborative brainstorming and an understanding of design concepts. Duties include editing copy for digital and print media; writing, editing and posting social media; assisting in the maintenance of my529’s WordPress websites; sending marketing email. Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Required Skills:
Editing. Duties primarily include editing copy for digital and print media. Topics range from nuts-and-bolts articles on how to use our plan to thought pieces on trends in higher education and financial literacy. The editor will be working with marketing, compliance and technical copy. Some writing also will be required.
Creative collaboration. Working with content teams to brainstorm projects, including taglines, visuals, marketing campaigns, brochures and other marketing materials.
Social media. Writing and editing social media posts in support of my529’s goals, and managing posts in collaboration with the Publications and Marketing teams.
Website maintenance. Posting and managing content on our WordPress website.
Email maintenance. Managing our marketing email system.
