Software Development Manager - Austin, TX (Hybrid)

Description

Everi's Game Development l team is looking for a Software Dev Manager to join their team and help guide a team of developers toward meeting goals and objectives that meet our overall vision. Could that be you?!

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Manage a team of ~4 experienced developers ( C#, JavaScript, C++, Unity, etc.).
  • Guide the overall vision of key projects/assignments and ensure deadlines are met. 
  • Escalate team concerns, anticipate roadblocks, and propose solutions.
  • Manage process improvement rollouts, monitor KPI's, maintain cycle time and quality, and promote cross-functional communication and involvement.
  • Provide effort estimations and resource allocation recommendations to upper management.
  • Ensure software design features/objectives are consistent with internal customer and regulatory requirements.

Skills, Knowledge, & Expertise for the job:

SKILLS:

  • Experience leading diverse teams.
  • 5+ years experience designing, modifying, and developing software.
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), agile
  • software development, feature-driven development, or similar processes.
  • Understanding and practical application of object-oriented design and development, product pipeline, software tools, and processes surrounding it.
  • Ability to implement process improvements.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Understanding of client-side programming: JavaScript, Unity, C#, and C++ - this position does not require much coding, but coding review requires an understanding of these technical languages.
