The Employer Brand Specialist plays a pivotal role in shaping how prospective employees perceive the organization as an employer of choice. This role involves developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives in collaboration with various stakeholders to align with the organization’s brand identity. By managing and optimizing all physical and digital touchpoints that job seekers interact with, the specialist influences candidates’ decisions to apply and ultimately join the organization. These efforts are essential in building a compelling talent brand, attracting high-quality applicants, and enhancing the overall recruitment funnel to support long-term talent retention and organizational success.

Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the organization’s Employee Value Proposition (EVP), articulating the unique benefits of working at the World Bank Group (WBG).
  • Lead the development of a new WBG careers website, modernizing its look and feel, enhancing content clarity, and consolidating information from multiple pages. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with branding, accessibility, and user experience standards.
  • Manage and update content on career platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Glassdoor), internal sites, and recruitment materials including brochures, banners, handouts, and branded giveaways.
  • Curate, write, and schedule engaging content for social media and newsletters, including staff stories and promotional campaigns—managing the production of nearly 100 assets annually.
  • Direct photo shoots and video productions featuring brand ambassadors to enhance visual storytelling and recruitment outreach.
  • Spearhead rebranding initiatives of recruitment programs such as the WBG Young Professionals Program (YPP), the WBG Internship Program, and others.
  • Collaborate with talent attraction and communications teams to design, launch, and optimize campaigns across social media and paid advertising platforms.
  • Track and report on the effectiveness of branding initiatives, including brand exposure, engagement, and perception on platforms like Glassdoor and LinkedIn.
