As a seasoned marketing professional, you will maintain a relentless handshake with local sales leaders, key stakeholders and regional marketing specialists to deliver best in class marketing coverage for demand generation, pipeline influence and account-based marketing and play a key role with high visibility in our Japan marketing organisation.

Reporting to the Marketing Director, Japan, you will be a senior member of the marketing team, helping to drive the marketing strategy and execution, and will have a significant impact on Thomson Reuters success.

About the Role

In this opportunity as Senior Marketing Manager, Japan, you will:

  • Develop and deploy integrated demand generation campaigns tailored for Japan supporting core business segments spanning Legal, Tax, and Trade
  • Ensure strategic alignment with business targets, market trends, and customer personas
  • Plan and execute campaigns incorporating top, middle, and bottom-of-funnel approaches leveraging tactics spanning content, media initiatives, events (physical and virtual), EDM, digital, and social channels
  • Address both whitespace acquisition as well as ABM requirements targeting key strategic accounts
  • Be accountable for marketing KPIs, ensuring the achievement of annual sales contribution and pipeline targets
  • Ensure full strategy alignment with stakeholders in Sales, Proposition, and Partnerships functions
  • Maintain a strong interlock across related AEM and global marketing functions to ensure scalability and appropriate organizational focus on Japan
  • Ensure transparent reporting of marketing activity and contribution, and continuously hone marketing approaches based on data
  • Develop marketing partnerships with industry bodies and key influencers
  • Support planning and execution of key strategic marketing initiatives for Japan spanning all propositions

About You

You're a fit for the role of Senior Marketing Manager, Japan if your background includes:

  • Have at least 15 years of relevant experience in senior marketing roles. Experience in marketing B2B software and content solutions is preferred.
  • Have successfully planned and managed marketing multi-touch campaigns that have achieved pipeline and revenue growth, while maximizing ROI against budget deployed
  • Have a track record of data and results driven marketing with a desire to continually innovate
  • Have strong business acumen and a passion to directly contribute to rapid revenue growth
  • Have an ability to work across a matrix organization with stakeholders spanning multiple geographies
  • Have an ability to work independently, balancing strategic planning and attention to detail, with the need to prioritize workload and generate output under time pressure
  • Can work well with both external agencies and in-house expertise
  • Have strong relationship management skills with both internal and external stakeholders and strategic partners
  • Are a business leader, role model, and team player
  • Able to communicate in native-level Japanese and business-level English
