In this key role, you’ll help deliver a comprehensive occupational health service with a strong focus on wellbeing. Working alongside health professionals and reporting to the People Health & Wellbeing Manager, you’ll provide expert support and guidance to our people — while leading a small team of clinical and administrative staff across the UK.

The role is primarily based in Luton, with regular travel to our Southampton and Basildon sites (at least one day every other week).

There will also be travel to our Yeovil site every other month, and occasional visits to other UK sites as required. Some homeworking is included as part of this role. Within this role you will;

  • Assist the Occupational Health Lead in development of People Health and Wellbeing Service
  • Support and implementation of Occupational Health policies and procedures
  • Develop monitor and review clinical governance arrangement and standards
  • Undertake clinical audits
  • Be responsible for Management of Occupational Health Adviser based at Yeovil site
  • Recruit, lead, develop and help manage UK team as required
  • Support the delivery of key projects and initiatives relating to health and wellbeing, including a wellbeing champion network, providing them with support, guidance and continuous development. Continually review and evaluate the impact of our wellbeing programme to ensure it meets our People needs.
  • Liaise with external provider to deliver Health Surveillance to Leonardo
  • Responsible for delivery of nurse led clinics, including the triaging of cases
  • Case management including Sickness Absence Management
  • Manage sessional Occupational Health Physician
  • Fitness for Work assessments
  • Return to work assessments
  • Travel Health
  • Promote workplace wellbeing including presentations
  • Support employees, managers and HR with health advice
  • Co-ordination of externally trained first aiders at work
  • Manage effectively all resources such as equipment, training and budget

What you will bring

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC accreditation.
  • Occupational Health experience
  • Leadership experience

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
