About the Role

BetMGM is seeking an Senior Information Security Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be part of the security team that is responsible for coordinating, planning, and organizing information security activities throughout the organization. You will help in defining and executing security controls to maintain an effective security posture, safeguarding BetMGM’s information technology assets, and ensuring alignment with relevant compliance frameworks. We are looking for a security professional that is able to assist in all phases of security assessment and compliance, with an emphasis on improving internal processes and controls. The Senior Information Security Engineer will assist in safeguarding the enterprise, perform analytics in support of security operations, and support the daily management and coordination of security administration. All assigned duties will be performed in accordance with corporate standards. compliance policies, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and implement capabilities in the following key program areas:
  • Identity & Access Management
  • Enterprise and Corporate Security
  • End-User & SaaS Security Engineering
  • SIEM Architecture & Incident Response
  • Vulnerability and Threat Governance
  • Cloud Security
  • Metrics
  • As a key leader in the Information Security Team, partner with the Senior Leadership to evaluate technologies and enhance security technology, architecture, engineering, and reliability capabilities firm wide.
  • Support the Information Security Operations function and identify violations of controls and standards.
  • Partner with Information Security Engineering to evaluate technologies and enhance security information and event management capabilities.
  • Conduct threat analysis, assessments, and malware triage in support of security investigations and incident response process
  • Recognize and research attacker tools, tactics, and procedures (TTP) and indicators of compromise (IOCs) that can be applied to current and future investigations.
  • Evaluate and implement security operations, cyber fusion, and threat intelligence practices and frameworks.
  • Support Senior Leadership in the tracking of key security operations metrics and KPI reporting.
  • Develop relationships with business and technology owners to implement application, network, and system auditing, logging, reporting, and security monitoring capabilities.
  • Provide guidance to and coordinate the efforts of relevant IT, Business and other department leaders in documenting and maintaining cyber security monitoring activities.
  • Develop and implement various cyber security and engineering standards, controls, and requirements.
  • Build internal policies, procedures, and standards to help streamline security operations.
  • Design measures to improve security operations and engineering, incident response, and threat intelligence.
  • Refine and develop dashboards, queries, and reports to continuously improve security operations.
  • Develop security standards and best practices for the organization.
  • Mentor the Information Security Team Cyber Analysts
  • Mentor and educate the organization via various cyber security awareness training and workshops.

Essential Functions

  • Must be able to stand or sit and operate computers and other technological devices for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree, preferably but not necessarily in a related field
  • Experience with any of the following domains: Security and Risk Management, Security Architecture and Engineering, Communications and Network Security, Identity and Access Management, Security Assessment and Testing Security, IT and Security Operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strategic, innovative, and creative thinking with ability to assist in developing standard methodology.
  • Strong networking and relationship leadership skills are required. This role is forward-facing to many levels of the organization.
  • Project Management experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate cybersecurity and data privacy related concepts to a broad variety of technical and non-technical (business) internal customers.
  • Knowledge of real-time security situational awareness, operational network systems, and security monitoring required.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux and/or Mac OS and comfortable with looking at, understanding, and investigating Systems and Security Event logs
  • Ability to script and develop automations.

Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
