About the role:

This Associate Director of Production role will have key responsibility for all production elements of the Arden Hills Capital Equipment area that will grow in ownership to other business unit responsibility within the site. The Associate Director will partner with the Arden Hills Production Director and key cross-functional peers to set strategy, provide leadership and own overall production deliverables for the area.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • The Associate Director of Production builds and cultivates strong and sustaining partnerships with Global Supply Chain sites and other cross-functional organizations.
  • Coach and develop a team that exemplifies the Boston Scientific core values of Caring, Diversity, Global Collaboration, High Performance, Meaningful Innovation, and Winning Spirit.
  • Demonstrate in-depth business knowledge, equally proficient in production knowledge and people leadership.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices of Production and Lean Manufacturing across multiple value streams.
  • Interprets and executes policies that affect individuals within the assigned organizational unit or department.
  • Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations etc.).
  • Develops work schedules for department by assessing priorities, workload, and available resources.
  • Implements a staffing plan by identifying resource requirements, writing justifications for additional personnel, obtaining approval for changes, and coordinating the selection process with Human Resources.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of related functional and leadership experience within the Production/Operations space.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct managerial experience leading large and diverse teams across a highly matrixed organization
  • Medical device or related industry experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Senior executive presence, comfortable presenting and collaborating with Senior Leaders as a Business Advisor
  • Ability to successfully manage and execute multiple, large-scale projects using established project management tools and processes.
  • Demonstrated capability in collaborating and partnering within a complex and matrix global distribution and manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated high degree of integrity and professionalism, and an ability to establish credibility.
  • High sense of urgency and commitment to execution
