Background Information : Shared Services, part of HE Data based in Noida, enables positive changes in performance and stakeholder engagement through a centralized operating model. This is a global function supporting all of Pearson. As a team, we manage a variety of data processes to ensure that data is valid, accurate, governed, compliant and complete. As content continues to proliferate across multiple emerging digital platforms, our team provides the resources to enable scalability and cost containment. We facilitate collaboration between product teams and suppliers who contribute to the products.

Role Description: We are looking for a candidate who ensures accuracy of data in every aspect and manage deadlines. Resource shall be responsible to work closely with Global teams. With the changing needs of business, the role is dynamic and candidate must be adaptable to change.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Managing data in Pearson Global Application (Oracle)
  • Ensuring the precision of data and compliance with the prescribed rules set for each geographical region(UK, US, Canada, Australia, Asia, many more to come).
  • Thoroughly follow up with business teams to oversee diverse processes.
  • Utilize Pearson business systems to handle data processing and draw attention to recurring inaccuracies for management review.
  • Foster relationships with business stakeholders, managers, and peers through effective communication channels, resolving problematic situations.
  • Adapt and learn processes to provide information in response to specific requests or questions.
  • Ensure operational continuity by documenting and communicating necessary actions to management, identifying irregularities, and determining ongoing needs.

Core Technical/Functional Competencies:

  • Possesses operational expertise, preferably with experience working on Oracle systems.
  • Demonstrates proficient English communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Exhibits a strong command of MS Office/MS Excel tools.
  • Adept at collaborating and contributing as a valuable team player.

Our Successful Candidate:

  • The ideal candidate should hold a graduate degree in any discipline or possess a professional qualification.
  • Demonstrated formal experience in the management of business systems and portals is required.
  • A minimum of two to three years of hands-on experience in data management is essential.
  • Previous experience in a publishing company is preferred.
  • Must exhibit the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Adaptability to changes is a key attribute.
  • Possesses good personnel management skills, demonstrating an understanding of business processes and the ability to execute routine tasks.
  • Should be flexible to work with international teams across multiple time zones.
  • Confident, enthusiastic, curious, and results-driven individual sought.
  • Open to changes and embracing new ways of working.
  • Capable of working effectively with diverse stakeholders from various cultural backgrounds.
