The Automation Engineering team sits under Digital Expert Services, a team that delivers highly specialized resources to enable Vestas to harvest benefits from innovative technology, new thoughts, and best practices. We aim to enable teams across Vestas to improve efficiency, and compliance, reduce cost, and scale through process automation with the use of RPA along with other complementary automation tools.

Responsibilities

  • The Process Automation Specialist is responsible for delivering automation based on business requirements. Key activities for this role would include the following:
  • Work with the Product Owner and the Technical Product Owner to discuss the feasibility of the automation and provide inputs based on their expertise
  • Design, develop, build, test, deploy, and debug new automation solutions or enhancements to existing automation
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum Team during planning, daily stand-up, review, and retrospective meetings
  • Communicate any issues/risks identified during any phase of the Project promptly
  • Support Operational Teams during UAT and rollout phases
  • Conduct quality assurance and approve developed code
  • Prepare and maintain Solution Design and Handover documents
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and other RPA developers 

Qualifications

  • Master's / Bachelor's in Computer Science / Any engineering specialization
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience as an RPA developer using Blue Prism handling both the development of new robots and supervising maintenance and support tasks for robots already in production
  • Has managed multiple automation projects
  • Knowledge and working experience in other RPA tools such as UI Path are also welcomed
  • Ability to work in a team, multi-cultural environment
  • Self‐motivated and self‐disciplined
  • Delivery-focused, with a flexible approach to work and willingness to learn new systems and business lines

Competencies

  • Solid knowledge of Blue Prism's best practices and development methodologies
  • Proficiency in Python programming
  • Proficiency in SharePoint Administration and Design
  • Experience in developing and consuming APIs
  • Experience working with Databases (SQL or NoSQL)
  • Experience with workflow design, data manipulation, and integration with external systems
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
  • Ability to design technical specification documents for RPA Projects
  • Soft Skills:
  • Proven analytical and planning skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Effective stakeholder & escalation management
  • Good enthusiasm for consulting, ability to adapt and cope in fast-paced, changing work hours and environment
