The primary job of the Manager, HR Systems, is to manage all technology associated with Human Resources operations, including the data within those systems. This role manages cross functional projects and will have internal customers outside of the HR function. The role should be focused on driving efficiency and effectiveness of the team. It is important to maintain external market expertise on best practices across technology and HR functions. Additionally this role should be a process consultant as well as understanding the functional areas supported. This position will manage employees and contractors.
Manage all Human Resources Systems (Workday, HR Help Desk)
Implement systems as identified, managing the selection and implementation project teams.
Monitor best practices in the industry and bring solutions and ideas to the team for consideration.
Identify and manage development and deployment of system enhancements.
Create, define, evaluate and communicate supporting processes for inputting and extracting data.
Troubleshoot systems processes, issues, and reporting functionalit.y
Monitor and track usage and participation at all user levels.
Maintain internal database files and tables, including integrity of the data.
Manage internal system integrations.
Create training curriculum and tools, and execute HR systems training for managers and employees using active and passive training delivery methods.
Create and manage policies associated with each system.
Monitor effectiveness and customer satisfaction with systems.
Manage system availability, performance, and semiyearly releases.
Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
Manage acquisition events.
Manage HR Data.
Ensure accuracy of data in systems.
Manage system configurations as needed.
Deliver reports as requested and constant focus on improved efficiencies.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Project Management expertise and demonstrated ability to plan schedule and deliver large scale projects.
Strong reporting/analysis skills to include ability to create/manipulate text and .csv files. Experience with a reporting tool such as COGNOS desired.
Advanced and demonstrated proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
Process oriented, with experience creating processes and procedures around HR systems.
Strong problem solving skills and effective decision making
Strong communication skills required to all levels of the organization.
Results-driven team player who can take initiative and work independently
Proven ability to build successful relationships and actively collaborate across functional groups.
Knowledge of various human resources areas including EEO guidelines, labor law, compensation, and benefits.
Bachelor’s degree, Masters Degree or MBA preferred
