In Group Operations, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic leader to serve as Strategic & Business Planning Specialist. This role partners closely with the top of the house in Operations to drive enterprise scorecard planning, financial management, and strategic execution. This role will also support key engagement initiatives and events, ensuring strong alignment, participation, and creativity in driving organizational culture and communication.

This position demands a blend of strategic foresight, financial acumen, stakeholder management, and meticulous execution, with the creativity to design and deliver impactful engagement experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Business management: Involves managing forums, taking meeting minutes, including secretariat work. This includes preparing ahead to plan and coordinate discussions effectively, ensuring smooth execution, clear documentation, and meaningful engagement among stakeholders
  • Scorecard and Financial Management: Drive the design, development, and execution of the Group Operations scorecard and related strategic initiatives. Centrally coordinate Operations Units to steer the scorecard exercise. Monitor scorecard performance metrics, identifying gaps. Deliver executive-level reporting and presentations that distil complex data into clear insights.
  • Ensure alignment updating/tracking and reporting financial - budgets, forecasts, and business objectives. Work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.
  • Engagement: Support and plan leadership and employee engagement events, ensuring strong participation and alignment with business strategy. Design and deliver communication plans to drive greater awareness of key initiatives and employee engagement activities. Bring creativity and innovation to the design of events, communication campaigns, and initiatives that strengthen culture and collaboration. Partner with internal teams to execute events seamlessly, reinforcing key strategic priorities.
  • Project Management: Lead and steer projects that span across regions and business units, spanning across Operations Up/Reskilling, Sustainability, Transformation, among others. Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues promptly to keep projects on track. Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency in reporting and delivery. Prepare clear and concise project status reports for senior leadership.
  • Collaboration: Maintain close correspondence with various COO units across Group Operations. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication, alignment, and smooth delivery.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement, challenging existing processes for efficiency and impact. Introduce best practices and innovative approaches to strengthen business planning, financial governance, and engagement activities
  • Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Project Management, or related field (Master’s preferred)
    • Minimum 10–15 years in financial planning, strategy, or business planning, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
    • Strong financial literacy and experience with budget management and cost control
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello) and advanced MS Excel skills.
    • Possess good communication skills, sharp problem-solving skills, and ability to draw strategic insights from large amounts of data in various forms.
    • High attention to detail with ability to see the big picture.
    • Takes ownership of results, teamwork and collaboration.
    • Passionate and resourceful with a mindset of learning and adapting.
    • Strong analytical mind and ability to identify issues and achieve timely resolution.
