Platform Data Engineer

Our Enterprise Data & Analytics (EDA) is looking for an experienced Platform Data Engineer to join our growing data and analytics engineering team. We are a globally distributed remote first team. You’ll work in a collaborative Agile environment using the latest engineering best practices with involvement in all aspects of the software development lifecycle.

You will develop, implement and maintain data products, environments and apply standard platform, architectural & data modeling practices . You will be primarily developing and maintaining processes and solutions in our data platform using technologies such as GCP, AWS, Airflow, Terraform, BigQuery, Kafka, Kubernetes, Snowflake, Python

What you get to do every single day:

  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to define successful analytics outcomes and maintain a performant data platform
  • Use best engineering practices such as version control system, CI/CD, code review, pair programming
  • Design, build, and maintain pipelines in Enterprise Data Warehouse to ensure reliable business reporting
  • Build platform solutions that provide practical consistency and operability
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery
  • Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems 

What you bring to the role:

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of platform data engineering experience building, working & maintaining data pipelines and processes on big data environments
  • Production experience working with GCP, AWS, Kubernetes, Airflow, Kafka, Terraform, BigQuery
  • Intermediate experience with any of the programming language: Python, Go, Java, Scala, we use primarily Python
  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with Cloud columnar databases (Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, Snowflake), query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
  • Integration with 3rd party API SaaS applications like Salesforce, Zuora, etc
  • Familiarity with processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with Bigquery or similar cloud warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift)
  • Demonstrated experience in one or many business domains
  • Knowledge in python

The Poland annualized base salary range for this position is zł226,000.00-zł340,000.00. Please note that while the salary range represents the minimum and maximum base salary rate for this position, the actual compensation offered will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives that will be communicated during the offer stage.
