About the Job

We are looking for a Product Manager to support the Head of Product in the development of world-class experiences that will impact all of our users. As the second product management hire at GreenSpark, you will have the opportunity to impact business growth and customer satisfaction by driving new feature development, as well as enhancements and critical bug fixes. The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp on fundamental product management concepts and mechanics, a bias towards action and ownership, a knack for problem solving, and impeccable communication skills. You will be involved in the growth stage of GreenSpark’s development and will work cross-functionally with other teams to achieve company goals. This position reports directly into the Head of Product.

Location: Brooklyn, NY / Remote

Where you'll make an impact:

  • Build a deep knowledge of our users by leveraging usage data, feedback, and customer interviews to make product decisions.
  • Collaborate with your teammates and cross-functionally, as well as support our Head of Product to ensure we hit our product goals.
  • Create new, powerful products on web and mobile.
  • Understand how the entire product and organization functions so as to be seen as a subject matter expert and resource in your product area.
  • Write product requirements and work iteratively with Engineering and Design to refine for clarity and scope.
  • Set up and monitor metrics to track feature usage and product performance.
  • Gather and understand requirements for prospective, onboarding, and existing customers, as well as prioritize associated features/tasks on roadmap.
  • Respond to bug reports from customers and Customer Success. Take time to clarify/understand the issue, write up a ticket, translate for the Engineering team, and prioritize.
  • Field product-related questions from customers and internal team members.
  • Unblock engineers when they’re having trouble implementing a feature or bug fix.
  • Tooling upkeep - updating and organizing both product backlogs and product marketing collateral
  • User acceptance testing (UAT) for new features

  • The ability to understand and articulate technical tradeoffs with engineers, even without a technical background 

Experience:

  • 2+ years in a fast-paced startup or high growth environment
  • 2+ experience working on technology-powered products with strong track record of achieving results
  • Demonstrated understanding of product discovery and delivery
