Senior Solution Engineer / Senior Pre-Sales Consultant

Why We Have This Role

As a member of the Solution Engineering team you will have a major impact in leading and influencing the sales cycle and by delivering thought leadership to companies to transform their Experience Management programs.

Qualtrics is looking for an experienced team member who works alongside their colleagues, participates in building our team culture and supports their aligned sales team to create solutions for prospects and customers.

To accomplish this, the Senior Solution Engineer must have a strong desire to set the vision translating business objectives into enticing and actionable recommendations. The Solution Engineer will act as a trusted advisor to our customers while aiding the customer’s transformational journey.

How You’ll Find Success 

  • Ability to support and heavily influence sales pursuits within enterprise accounts across South Korea
  • Understanding the true needs of customers and mapping out the capabilities of Qualtrics and how we solve for their challenges
  • Demonstrating the value of Qualtrics’ products and differentiating them from other market offerings/competition 
  • Being the technical point of reference with knowledge of Qualtrics’ products, and understanding how the products work behind the scenes
  • Shortening the sales cycles through proactive and valuable interactions with customers
  • Being a great communicator, with very strong presentation skills and empathy for customers and prospects
  • Managing with autonomy and effectively prioritizing, knowing where to invest time intelligently

Things You’ll Do 

  • Provide exemplary pre-sales technical expertise through technical and product presentations, demonstrations, pilot implementations, and ongoing sales consultation
  • Drive the adoption of Qualtrics solutions within strategic accounts, expanding usage across departments within the enterprise. Translate product/technical features into value drivers.
  • Develop and maintain Technical materials, and deliver enablement to improve product knowledge and demonstration abilities to enterprise account executives.
  • Build working knowledge of competing products and how to technically sell against them
  • Work collaboratively with Product Management, Marketing and Engineering during the development, launch and continuing refinement of existing and new Qualtrics products.
  • Respond to initial product requests and frame product issues for discussion and resolution with Product and Engineering teams
  • Communicate effectively with engineers and other key personnel. Describe problems succinctly to enable issue management
  • Become an authority and thought leader in Experience Management and other Qualtrics offerings
  • Develop/maintain technical and business knowledge of industry directions and trends

What We’re Looking For On Your Resume

  • At least 4+ years of prior Sales/Systems Engineering, Pre-Sales or Solution Architect experience with software in a SaaS/Cloud environment, selling to C/VP level buyers
  • Experience working collaboratively with product management, product marketing, partners, and professional services
  • Ability to explain and resolve common technical aspects of SaaS software, including security, protocols, APIs, SLAs, email/communication specifications, etc.
  • Ability to see and present 'the big picture', architect solutions to solve customer problems, and business challenges
  • Territory management skills, including pipeline building and working with Sales counterpart to guide execution excellence
  • You are prepared to learn new technologies and are able to pivot to other system related tasks if and when needed. We wear lots of hats here at Qualtrics!
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Full professional proficiency in English both verbal and written
  • Travel across South East Asia, as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Sales/Solution Engineering experience
  • Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL a plus
  • Previous experience in survey/data collection or market research software and systems, including pre or post-Sales support
