The Data Analytics organization at 7 powers the foundation for our Omnichannel predictive analytics platform. We collect data from customer interactions through speech, chat, and online interactions across millions of consumers, and apply machine-learning algorithms to build predictive models that form the core of solving customer problems of many Fortune 100 companies. We work with a billion events every day, process terabytes of data in our big data platform, and process data in streams in batches using many of the large scale open source computing platforms—Spark, Akka, Hadoop. We use a service-oriented approach to building loosely coupled asynchronous systems that help us scale alongside with our clients. In this role, you will work on building a highly-scalable and extensible big data platform that provides the foundation for collecting, storing, modeling, and analyzing massive data sets from multiple channels, including the web, IVR, mobile, social media and live agent call and chat interactions.
Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure for continuous integration tools and frameworks.
Complete ownership and accountability of Infrastructure Management, Continuous Delivery practices establishment and adoption and Standardization of tools and their versions across organization.
Participate in technical research and development to promote continuous IT innovation, including advising on hardware and software acquisition.
Work with engineering teams across geography to triage and resolve potential issues that may impact their release timelines.
Work with the engineering management team to establish and reinforce disciplined software release processes and best-practices.
Develop products, libraries and reusable components for automating monitoring and alerting.
Follow Agile/SCRUM methodology to deliver quality products.
BS degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent majors.
4+ years of overall experience with minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with the following tools in BOLD that are required for setting up Continuous Delivery environment:
Version management - Git ,(Gerrit & Github); Subversion, CVS or others
Build tools - Maven, Gradle, Ant, make and other build tools.
CI tools - Jenkins
Artifact Management tools - Nexus
Repository / Package management tools – YUM, P2
Strong Coding / Scripting - Shell, Python, Ruby, Groovy
Configuration Management – Chef /Puppet/Ansible
Containerization - Docker and / or others.
Infrastructure / Virtualization tools - vCloud, Openstack, Amazon Ec2, Microsoft Azure and others
Monitoring tools - Nagios
Proficient in Python and/or other scripting languages.
Working knowledge with Linux/Unix and Windows client-server technologies.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge and familiarity with network protocol, cloud services and multi-threaded system is a plus.
Knowledge of load balancing and high availability would be nice to have.
