Purpose and Objectives

The charter of the Support Delivery organization is to delight customers. Within support delivery the tasks of the Artificial Intelligence Technology team are to make use of AI and Machine Learning to redefine support delivery and support experiences for our global customers. To cater for the increasing demand in support uses cases for AI, we are looking for new team members.

Expectation and Tasks

Be part of the Artificial Intelligence Technology team in Shanghai to develop leading edge AI and ML inspired applications for support. We define a new ML application lifecycle model that starts with Explorative Data Analysis and ends with the Go Live of productive ML solutions as well as their continuous maintenance and improvement. In your daily job, you collaborate with various support delivery teams. You need to understand requirements to develop state-of-the-art machine learning and data mining algorithms that provide robust situational assessment and predictive capabilities. You will explore, understand, and implement most recent technologies and approaches for cloud applications, comfortably handle real-world data sets, strive for automation and cloud operation readiness, and improve quality and system scalability through continuous evaluation, analysis, and refinement of the system implementation.

Skills and Competencies

Required skills

  • University degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or related technical field

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a passion for Machine Learning

  • Solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in algorithms, data structures, objects oriented programming, design patterns, multi-threaded programming, and software design principles

  • Knowledge of programming and scripting languages, preferably Python, Java, JavaScript, C++ and Go

  • Experience with at least one of the following cloud-related technologies & concepts: Kubernetes, Cloud foundry, Docker, OpenStack, or other IaaS/PaaS environments

  • Hands-On experience on any of the RDBMS/No SQL databases such as HANA, Mongo DB and Redis

  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written communication skills

  • Creative thinking, willingness and ability to learn quickly new concepts and technologies

  • Strong team player

  • Experience with version control tools such as GIT are an advantage

Preferred skills / beneficial

  • Experience handling real-world large data sets

  • Operational knowledge of Linux distributions such as Redhat, Ubuntu, CentOS, CoreOS

  • Experience with Agile & DevOps methodologies

  • Knowledge of Machine Learning fundamentals

Up to 2 years of development experience. 1+ years of commercial / academic machine learning experience
