We are looking for an experienced Fabric Engineer to join our Public Sector team! You will be working across multiple sites on the Lambeth Council contract.

In your role as a Fabric Engineer you will be responsible for undertaking all building fabric activities, with repairs undertaken where necessary to achieve the highest level of service for the client, reporting any defects at the time of the service visit. Build relationships with the client, answering any queries and keeping them informed of site activities and developments. Complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time, keeping logs of inspections reports and remedial work.

Role and Responsibilities

Weekly & monthly planned maintenance tasks as scheduled (fire alarm tests, water temperature recording, emergency lighting tests, etc)

Monthly utilities meter readings

First line response to reactive repairs

Relamping of defective lighting

Minor building fabric repairs-Basic Carpentry, Carpet Tiling, Locks

Minor decorating tasks

Minor plumbing repairs

General office cleaning as scheduled for remote sites

Supporting external landscaping and cleaning as required

Adhoc porterage duties (Moves & changes, furniture management & moves, etc)

Maintain accurate documentation of all assigned work orders

Comply fully with Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

Provide excellent customer service to building occupants, ensuring they are made aware of work order progress in a timely manner

Proactively walk the floors, reporting any maintenance or H&S issues to the helpdesk and appropriate manager.

Previous Experience and Qualifications

Experience within a similar position within a maintenance environment, holding relevant qualifications e.g., time served apprenticeship, C&G or equivalent.

Know the relevance of toolbox talks, Permit to Work procedures and safe systems of working.

Capability to perform manual tasks, including manual handling, working at heights.

Good verbal and written communication and ability to use computers.

Experience in a similar position within a maintenance environment

Good Health and Safety awareness and knowledge
