Role description:

In this role, you will be a key member of Arcadis Place Team’s National practice and serve as a Senior Project Manager. 

As a Senior Project Manager will lead and direct the development of infrastructure projects in the DC Metro area as well as work with other nationally recognized technical project Teams in a larger Regional area. This is a client-facing role, with an expectation to collaborate with various Arcadis locations and support projects and client development activities regionally and nationally. 

Role accountabilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing and managing projects from initiation to completion. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall financial results of assigned projects ensuring projects are delivered within scope, budget, and schedule while meeting quality standards and complying with state and local requirements. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in capital planning, financial reporting, scheduling, cost control, and safety management
  • Managing and supporting roles on larger or complex projects or projects with higher associated risk
  • Work closely with Arcadis Project Managers in a Regional area, overseeing and/or leading the technical delivery of projects as well as ensuring client satisfaction, and collaboration between internal and external project Teams 
  • Build and maintain a strong professional reputation as an individual as well as Arcadis as a whole. Keep up to date with developments in the sector and seek out opportunities to develop a strong professional profile at a Regional level
  • Actively engage with DC/MD/VA Metro and Regional client account teams, supporting the expansion of business development opportunities and client relationships to strategically grow Arcadis’s DC Metro portfolio, leveraging existing and new client relationships
  • Support marketing and proposal phases of projects including preparation of and participation in the development of winning proposals, client presentations, proposed Scopes of Work and project budgets, etc. 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field of studies
  • 10 or more years' relevant experience with experience in all project phases: planning, preconstruction, procurement, construction, commissioning and validation. Project focus - capital projects
  • Experience managing and leading teams to help them achieve that all work outputs meet program needs and objectives 
  • Experience leading and implementing complex business change solutions
  • Experience managing business relationships at a senior level. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage relationships with and influence external stakeholders
  • Subject matter expertise in own discipline
  • Strong written and oral communication for complex reports and communications including but not limited to business development proposals, project reports, etc.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. The salary range for this position is $112,240 - $168,360.
