Summary Statement:

The Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst is responsible for providing ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support the CFO and participate in the preparation of the annual operating budgets and monthly reforecasts. This position reports directly to Manager, Financial Analysis & Development and is located on-property, and therefore their work spans across its functional areas. The Analyst is expected to manage their own execution in supporting broader team initiatives. All responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with all laws and regulations, as well as Resorts World Las Vegas policies, practices and procedures.

Primary Job Duties: – Includes but is not limited to:

  • Assist the Financial Planning & Analysis team on all budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analyzing efforts.
  • Develops financial plans and reports for organizational leaders.
  • Analyzes industry trends and makes recommendations based on those trends.
  • Evaluates capital expenditures and depreciation.
  • Develops automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all ad-hoc analyses and reports, metrics and dashboards.
  • Prepare and analyze actual financial results with appropriate comparison to historical performance.
  • Contribute to financial management of property by providing insights and recommendations on cash flow, cost identification and allocation, and risk management.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested

Competencies: Includes but is not limited to:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
  • Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis.
  • Thorough understanding of project management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Preferred: 

  • Working knowledge of Systems, Applications & Products in Data Processing (SAP), Birst or Kronos.
  • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • At least one year of financial analysis and/or budgeting experience.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Position required licenses
