Job Overview:

The Field Applications Engineer (FAE) is an integral part of Arm Sales force, reporting to the Taiwan Field Applications Engineering Manager. You will be working closely with Partner managers by providing technical pre-sales support to develop and win new licensing, design-in and pull-through opportunities at Taiwan Partners. Acting as a technical account manager, you will also responsible for managing (but not performing) the post-sales support provided by the Applications Engineering team to the Partners.

It is crucial to develop sound professional relationships with the key engineers, architects, and decision-makers at the Partners. It is also meaningful to create, report, and execute on key account strategies aimed at growing Arm’s business within these Partners.

You will also participate in defining new products or services to meet the needs of Arm customers. It is expected to maintain a high standard of technical knowledge in relation to Arm and its products, services, and competitors.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Partner manager and take technical ownership of the sales process and provide appropriate product recommendations to meet customer requirements.
  • Identify and exploit licensing and design win opportunities.
  • Identify trends and provide guidance on market requirements.
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop winning account strategies.
  • Understand market trends and competitive landscape.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Five years experience in digital design, software engineering, or applications engineering.
  • BS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Proven understanding of microprocessors, SoC design, operating systems, systems software, HW/SW design process including relevant tools, boards and systems IP.
  • Positive, “can do” attitude.
  • Proficient in English.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Understanding of Arm Cores, graphic processor, software tools, system IP, physical IP.
  • Familiar with Smartphone, PC, laptop, AR/VR system design.
  • Previous experience in a sales or marketing role.
